Documents to bring for notarisation

  • • Original document(s) to be notarised, along with one clear photocopy of each.
  • • Valid government-issued photo ID: Aadhaar, Passport, Driving Licence or Voter ID.
  • • Two passport-size photographs for affidavits and Powers of Attorney.
  • • Non-judicial stamp paper of the required denomination (we can advise you on the correct value).
  • • Supporting proofs referenced by the affidavit (address proof, degree, marriage certificate, etc.).
  • • For company documents: authorised signatory ID, board resolution and company seal.

Is a notarised rental agreement valid in Tamil Nadu?
Yes. A notarised rental or lease agreement is legally valid for tenancies under 11 months. Agreements longer than 11 months should be registered with the Sub-Registrar.
